The Art of Smoked Salmon

Along with crafting our unique tasting smoked Scottish Salmon, the local surroundings are also of significant importance to us at the Harris & Lewis Smokehouse.  To capture the spirit of Harris & Lewis we worked with the eminent artist Vega. Capturing the essence of the surrounding scenery through her artwork, Vega’s painting Wild Mangurstadh Bay (Mangersta Bay, Isle of Lewis) can be seen on the front of our smoked Scottish Salmon packaging. Which pays a tribute to the waters where our salmon are raised.

After years of travelling the world's continents working on her craft. Vega now resides on the Isle of Lewis where the breath-taking surroundings are the inspiration for the art on her canvases. As an avid sailor, Vega has travelled the very water where our salmons are raised linking her travels to our tail at the Harris & Lewis Smokehouse.
